Climate Change- A world leader
The Green Economics Institute has become a world leader in the fight against climate change.
We have a special website dedicated to our climate change work and ideas- www.geiclimate.org.uk but we will begin posting details of our historical work over the last 20 years here as well.
We have published a whole series of books on climate change and these can be found at www.geibooks.org.uk
We have taken an active role over the last 14 years at the United Nations COP Climate Conferences as well as other activities.
We run regular delegations, official side events and exhibition stands at the UN and participate in many other initiatives and provide advise and ideas.
The United Nations films the events for their tv station and we will post the links here going forward so you can see what we do.
We will aim to post details of our activities past present and future here to collate it so you can join in if you wish.

COP15 Copenhagen 20009 We won our first delegation and we ran one small event in the city during the conference which was well attended. Our two lead negotiators were Miriam Kennet and Michelle Gale.

COP20 Lima Peru, 2014 We had a delegation including Professor Maria Madi (Brazil) and Professor Peter Yang USA and China
COP21 2015 Paris Climate Change Conference where we helped broker the important climate treaty.
Our chief negotiators were Michelle Gale, and Miriam Kennet and we ran a 2 week exhibition stand and official side event with a team including Susan Shipley, Mike Shipley, Jack Easton, and Professor Peter Yang and Pamela Harling.
COP22 2016
COP23 Bonn, Germany in 2017 where we had one of the largest delegations. The conference was moved from Fiji due to Hurricane Winston. We had a very large official exhibition stand and a very large delegation plus an official side event.
COP24 Katowice, Poland 2018 2 week Exhibition Stand and a very big Delegation and Official Side Event
COP25 Madrid, Spain 2019 -an Exhibition Stand and a Delegation and Official Side Event The conference was moved from Chile due to Geo Political Tensions.
COP26 Glasgow November 2021. 2 week Exhibition Stand and a very big Delegation and Official Side Event
COP27 Sharm El Sheikh November 2022. Exhibition Stand and Delegation and Official Side Event
COP28 Dubai UAE 2023 We participated in COP 28 2023 Dubai UAE where we were awarded an official side event and delegation.
COP 29 Baku Azerbajan sees us once again winning an official delegation, side event and official exhibition stand.
